Bookings Menu

The Bookings Menu contains all the information you require for managing your booking information. Categories include:

Single bookings


Linked bookings

Linked bookings are designed for, but not restricted to skip or bulk services of the waste industry where the majority of job bookings have both a delivery booking and a pickup booking. Both of these bookings will usually occur on different dates, could be serviced by different routes or drivers and therefore are treated as two individual transactions. Linked bookings are always two bookings only.


 Linked Bookings are displayed as either '.0' or '.1' within the Bookings window (e.g. 123.0 is the delivery booking and 123.1 is the pickup booking).


 Both Linked and Multi bookings are priced individually.


Multi bookings

Multi bookings designed for the medical side of the waste industry where the majority of bookings can have many services being performed at the one location on a particular date. For example, a hospital may require the following services to be performed on a particular day:

  • Delivery of 100 sharps containers
  • Empty of 20 sharps waste bins
  • Empty of 10 sanitary bins
  • Delivery of 3 new sanitary bins

Each of these services would generally be performed at the same time by one driver or route on a single date. These four services are created as four separate bookings within Wastedge. This gives them the flexibility to have their own delivery instructions (e.g. service types, quantities, container types, costing, etc) and can be completed on the same date. The benefit of these four services categorised as multi bookings are that they allow dispatching and status updates to be performed in one location, rather than being individually organised.

Multi Bookings are displayed within the Bookings window as either '.0', '.2', '.3', '.4'. This allows an easy identification between linked service types and multi bookings (e.g. 123.0, 123.2, 123.3, 123.4).
